Can Grau and Moli d’en Fontanet footbridges

Project Description

The footbridges that are the object of the project were built in 1964 as part of the works for the channeling of the Ripoll River, works motivated by the floods of 1962. These are of an innovative typology in Spain at that time, the two footbridges are twin and cantilever cable-stayed type formed by 3 isostatic sections.

After several inspections and technical reports it is determined the need to restore them completely, the City Council has them cataloged as a good of municipal interest, so in its restoration maintains the typology, volumetry and materials but actaualitzats the current standards and regulations.
